SERCAP’s Facilities Development Grant Program
Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project, Inc.’s (SERCAP) Facilities Development (FD) Grant Program provides grants to rural communities and water/wastewater systems to address critical repairs, replacements, upgrades, and even to support planning, engineering, and construction for new water and/or wastewater treatment plants. SERCAP’s FD Grant Program can be accessed by: Towns, Counties, Unincorporated Municipalities, Planning District Commissions, Public Service Authorities, Homeowner’s Associations, Mobile Home Parks, and Nonprofit Organizations (essentially any entity that manages a community water/wastewater system).
Grants range from as low as $5,000.00 to $200,000.00+ to support a variety of project costs, including:
- Professional Engineering Reports (PERs)
- Environmental Reviews
- Engineering Design Services
- Meter Installation
- Water/Wastewater-line Installation
- Back-up/Emergency Generators
- Tap Fees and Laterals for Housing Development of LMI Homeowners
