A safe home for a mother and son

Government funding did not cover the full cost of replacing their home. SERCAP’s Annual Fund helped make up the difference. Now her son has his own bedroom, can take baths, and can bake cookies at home.

Why the Annual Fund matters

The Annual Fund helps SERCAP respond when grants cannot cover a family’s or community’s needs in full.

Give directly from your IRA

Age 70½ or older? A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA can support rural families without adding to your federal taxable income. A qualifying gift can also count toward your required minimum distribution, if applicable.

Ask your IRA provider to arrange a gift directly to SERCAP. Your provider or tax adviser can confirm your eligibility.
